After 118 years of family ownership, Hoigaard's has literally embarked on "The Experience of a Lifetime." The Hoigaard family sold their interest in Hoigaard's to Specialty Sports Venture, the retail division of Vail Resorts. We couldn't be more pleased to have found an organization that truly understands what Hoigaard's means to our customers, our employees and our community and are committing to maintaining and improving that legacy for the future.
For those of you who are reading this, you understand that Hoigaard's means more than the family that owned it. It is defined by the generations of customers who have started their outdoor experiences by shopping here, the generations of employees who either were with us for a short while or for a lifetime and finally all the groups and organizations who have been connected to us through our share passion for the outdoors. If we do our jobs right, the only changes you will experience at Hoigaard's will be improvements.
Our focus on proving the highest quality unique products should only improve, our long term experienced and dedicated staff will be all the same folks with better resources and support, our service levels will continue to be "best in class" with more resources and support. Most important, our dedication to "Create, Support and Inspire Outdoor Enthusiasts" will get be supported by Vail's commitment to provide "The Experience of a Lifetime."
I personally am excited to be involved in this new journey and continue to represent the values of the Hoigaard family and our new Vail family as we move forward. If you ever have any questions or concerns about our course or actions - please call me right away.
On behalf of the Hoigaard family thank you for your generations of patronage and friendship, we look forward to enjoying the outdoors with you for another 118 years and beyond.
